Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
Focus on quality and accuracy as part of the company-wide goal: Quality First. Display Caring, Honesty, Accountability, Respect, and Trust (CHART). Maintain a clean work environment at all times, in accordance with sanitation standard operating procedures. Participate in user training led by qualified staff members, including hands-on job training, material handling safe practices, Warehouse Management System (WMS) navigation, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) training. Certified to safely operate material handling equipment in various areas and applications, including sit-down counterbalance, deep reach truck, order selector, turret truck, and electric pallet jacks. Equipment can be used in standard aisle configurations, wire-guided configurations, and refrigerated configurations.
Responsibilities
Maintain good general housekeeping practices throughout the facilities. Report any sanitation issues to the supervisor.
Participate in user training that includes hands-on job training, material handling safe practices, WMS navigation, and SOP training. Document all trainings accordingly.
Operate material handling equipment safely in various areas and applications, including sit-down counterbalance, deep reach truck, order selector, turret truck, and electric pallet jacks.
Utilize equipment for inbound trailer unloading, put away of stock, movement of stock, cycle counting of stock, picking of stock, and outbound loading of trailers and LTL.
Follow system direction from the WMS to complete daily activities using RF equipment, pick-to-light technologies, or computer-based workstations.
Pick case quantities and build pallets for extended periods while operating powered equipment or manual pallet jacks.
Verify inventory levels in locations by performing cycle count processes in WMS.
Simultaneously pick and begin packing containers to prepare them for shipping.
Add packing materials to prepare containers for the final shipping process.
Work within various areas of distribution such as Receiving, assorted pick modules, Kitting, Shipping, Returns, DEA, freezer, refrigerated space, and Small Order Distribution (SOD).
Essential Skills
1+ years of picking experience.
Knowledge of RF scanners and their operation.
Basic math/counting skills.
Basic computer/calculator skills.
Experience in inventory management, labeling, loading, and unloading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Attention to detail.
Learns from mistakes.
Shows care and understanding of QUALITY over Quota/Quantity.

Work Environment
The work environment is very clean and not loud. It is climate-controlled at 71 degrees year-round. Employees have 2 15-minute breaks and 1 30-minute lunch break. The pay period is Sunday to Saturday, and overtime on weekends is voluntary. Some jobs may require work in cold containers (refrigerators), with jackets permitted as long as they do not have hoods and are not oversized.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
