Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician for a dynamic and fast-paced production environment. The role involves accurately and efficiently filling prescription requests in an automated refill setting under the supervision of a Pharmacist. The ideal candidate will maintain a continuous and consistent workflow to meet daily production goals, while working independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Manually fill prescription vials with prescribed tablets and capsules.
Read computer-generated screens to locate indicated merchandise on labeled shelves, verifying product size and strength before fulfilling orders.
Replenish medication in automated cells to full capacity, opening large quantities of bottles and cases.
Employ basic mathematical reasoning to count or calculate the appropriate number of units needed to fill prescriptions.
Utilize a handheld scanner unit to scan product barcodes for replenishment.
Demonstrate problem resolution skills, including recognizing, addressing, and escalating issues.
Maintain focus and acute attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks with absolute accuracy.
Keep the pharmacy floor clean and orderly.
Understand and comply with federal and state HIPAA laws and pharmacy standard procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy.
Process orders for shipping, including folding/packing paperwork and attaching shipping labels.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Adhere to and promote the Company's Shared ICARE Principles.
Essential Skills
Indiana Pharmacy Technician License in good standing.
Proficiency in pharmacy operations and professional standards.
Strong computer skills.
Exhibit customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills in a constantly changing production environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
PTCB National certification preferred.
One year of pharmacy experience preferred.
Warehouse experience is a plus.
Work Environment
This position operates onsite at a climate-controlled facility located at 260 Logistics Ave. Jeffersonville, Indiana. The role follows a 2nd shift schedule: Monday from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Tuesday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM. The physical requirements include lifting up to 30 lbs, standing/walking continuously during the shift, and performing tasks that require bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, and pinching. Visual acuity is necessary for reading computer screens, handheld scanners, and labels. Benefits start on the first of the month after conversion to full-time, including 22 days of PTO annually, performance incentives, cross-training, growth opportunities, and supportive management.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $19.50/hr.
