Libs Paving Co., Inc. Concrete Foreman in Floyds Knobs, Indiana
JOB SUMMARY:
Supervises concrete laborers, concrete finishers/carpenters and heavy equipment operators while overseeing all activities relating to the erection of concrete structures.
The concrete foreman will evaluate the performance of the crews, ensuring that project costs remain within budget as well as manage project materials and resources and oversee the use of equipment and tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (will include but not limited to):
Must be able to correctly interpret blueprints, plans and drawings.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent management and problem-solving skills as well as enforce compliance with safety regulations.
Oversees all activities pertaining to concrete preparation, placement, installation, finishing, and curing.
Divides concrete construction projects into different stages and evaluates how much labor and materials are required for each stage.
Resolves all problems that may affect project quality and completion.
Delegates tasks to concrete laborers and provides overall guidance.
Completes daily job reports using the Pave Day app for Libs Paving Co., Inc.
Ensures that formwork and shoring are erected, supported, and dismantled based on engineering designs and drawings.
Inspects concrete after the formwork and shoring has been removed and instructs concrete laborers on how to correct defects and concrete roughness.
Directs the casting of the concrete with the truck driver.
Monitors the effects of the weather on the curing process.
Monitors the sealing and hardening components.
Supervises the operator of the power vibrator to ensure the concrete is compacted safely.
Follows all direction from Libs Paving Management team as well as Superintendent of the concrete teams.
When driving company vehicles follows proper daily checklist and inspection procedures while completing documentation of same as required.
Takes necessary precautions to ensure job is being done in the safest manner possible.
Is mindful of their personal safety as well as safety of their team members and customers.
Effectively communicates with other crew members with the ability to listen to other crew members ideas, suggestions, and concerns.
Ensures site safety by installing barricades, as necessary.
Adheres to all safety rules established in the Libs Paving Safety Program.
Responsible for keeping truck interiors clean of debris while traveling to and from job sites.
Maintains a high level of discipline and professionalism as a representative of Libs Paving Co.
