Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Environmental & Facility Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Engineer to join our Advanced Planning team.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this individual will work closely with customers to understand the scope of their projects and ensure they are properly allocated and budgeted. This individual will also work closely with Accounting to ensure the smooth flow of information and provide follow up as needed. Additionally, they may oversee the management of the department's drawing repository.
What you’ll be doing
Proven experience in plant planning, project management, construction, and building design to ensure project estimates are in line with customer and budgetary requirements
Experience with capital budgeting and the ability to evaluate expenses for capitalization or operating expense classification
Strong analytical skills to help improve department budgetary process, improve tracking tools, and support quicker decision making
Proficiency in reading, understanding, and the ability to update construction drawings – familiar with AutoCAD/Auto Desk
Excellent communication skills and a customer first mind set
What you bring
Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering)
Intermediate level experience of computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
Proficient with CAD, preferably Autodesk
Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
Ability to work overtime up to 20% during weekends, holidays and shut-downs.
Added bonus if you have
Budget management experience
Experience in industrial mechanical systems (piping, chilled water, compressed air, etc.)
Experience in industrial power systems (switchgear, power distribution systems, 480VAC and higher)
Experience in industrial structural steel systems
Experience in large scale civil installations
