Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to join our team in Georgetown, Kentucky. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a key role in managing logistical operations, ensuring smooth communication, and maintaining high levels of efficiency. Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and oversee the dispatching of shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Manage communication with freight carriers, drivers, and customers to address inquiries and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities using Excel and other tools.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper documentation for incoming and outgoing goods.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline logistics processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Handle scheduling and route planning to optimize delivery timelines and costs.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and ensuring satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot logistical challenges and implement solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping and transportation regulations. Requirements • Proven experience in logistics, dispatching, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes and practices.
• Knowledge of working with freight carriers and managing transportation logistics.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
