ManpowerGroup Mechanical Engineer in Georgetown, Kentucky
Our client, a global manufacturer of automotive components, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering department supporting Equipment/maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a heavy industrial environment, supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Georgetown, KY
Pay: $ 70,000 - $90,000
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of manufacturing machines and are expected to be able and willing to troubleshoot machines along with our maintenance technicians.
Analyzes equipment downtime to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout
Assesses process capabilities, identifies improvement opportunities and integrates new processes & equipment to maximize manufacturing throughput and velocity
Requirements
Mechanical Engineering degree
2+ years’ experience as an engineer in a manufacturing facility preferred
Strong knowledge of current use & leading-edge technologies
Design experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar modeling software.
