Position located in Lexington, KY will be a technical resource for questions regarding specifications, materials, ASTM testing and literature associated with O-ring material selection and groove design. Customers include Field Sales, Parker Distributors, Internal Customer Service and Pricing, and general engineering community.
Position may support the development of training modules including 3-D CAD drawings and scripts to serve as online training support for distribution network.
Must have strong interpersonal as well as a technical skill set
Assist with inquiries from customers via OSS Mailbox (e-mail), phones, and SPPI quotation system
Assist customers in selecting the best rubber seal material for a given application and the design of their products to maximize service life.
Assist customers with O-ring size selection based on a customer drawing (using inPHorm or excel spreadsheets)
Facilitate lab test requests and communicate results to customer in writing
Creating seal prints and hardware drawings with Autodesk Inventor
Interpreting and understand customer drawings, requirements, and specifications and making recommendations of Parker products
Willingness to learn new skills such as Finite Element Analysis or Failure Analysis
Support field sales and distributors as required to maintain Division’s premier customer service position.
Junior/Senior during 2025-2026 school year in Business Administration, or a related field of study with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Experience interacting with customers
Excellent mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand, describe or discuss problems of a technical nature.
Due to Export Control of customer technical information, only US Citizens can be considered.
