Job Summary | The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking a faculty member to primarily focus upon the care of critically ill patients with cardiovascular diseases at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Completion of critical care fellowship training with eligibility to become critical care medicine certified by the ABIM is required. This position will have regular assignments in the clinical faculty rotations to cover inpatient services, and depending upon training, expertise and interests, may include the interpretation of echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, or other diagnostic cardiovascular procedures. The performance of invasive procedures in the CVICU or cardiac catheterization laboratory is supported for qualified individuals. This individual will be expected to establish a continuity clinic in one of our outpatient cardiology settings. Most of these activities will include clinical care teaching activities with medical students, residents, and fellows focusing on critical care cardiology. Professional Development activities such as attending continuing education meetings, workshops, lectures, and other activities will be necessary to participate in the various missions of the Department, the College, and the University.
