G&J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc. Field Sales Summer Intern in Lexington, Kentucky
Position Summary
The Summer Field Sales Intern supports the sales team with various initiatives to drive revenue and profit throughout the key summer selling season.
Essential Functions
Shadow a member of key Field Sales Roles to understand the functions of each job type.
Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local Laws; wears all required personal protective equipment.
Communicates with retailers and Pepsi management team on issues regarding pricing, products, programs and problems that arise in the store.
Maintains a clean, neat and organized backroom at retailer locations according to established standards.
Completes assigned task each day and week to ensure full support provided to sales team.
Completes time-off requests, daily reports and other required paperwork according to established standards.
Maintains confidentiality of pricing, customer information, and other sensitive and confidential information.
Works in conjunction with Account Manager and Store Management to identify opportunities to increase the sales and profitability of the company through proper use of Point Of Sale materials, communication of price/value and securing displays.
Communicates with co-workers about merchandising situations in order to maintain established customer service standards.
Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as required to meet workload demands.
Performs other related duties as required.
Summer Projects
Gain critical experience with each role in Field Sales to understand the selling cycle of Pepsi and get the product from Truck to Shelf
Oversee one key summer Marketing Program from its infancy to completion for the KY Market Field Sales Department
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of College Completed
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs to 100 lbs manually and up to 2000 lbs mechanically.
Experience
Previous supervisory and/or leadership experience strongly preferred.
Computer Skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Certificates & Licenses
Must have valid driver's license; must be insurable to operate a vehicle, as a condition of initial and continued employment
Additional Requirements
