Responsibilities
Sign On Bonus up to $3,000 for Eligible Hires
Performs a variety of routine tasks to support the delivery of safe, effective, cost-efficient patient care as delegated by the RN. They provide assistance in transporting, transferring and lifting. They perform cleaning Functions in the patient care unit as delegated, and perform selected diagnostic tests.
Essential Functions
Provides direct patient care as delegated by RN staff.
Monitors and records vital signs.
Assists in providing personal hygiene and physical care needs.
Accurately measures, records, and reports intake and output.
Obtains and records daily weight.
Performs blood glucose testing using blood glucose meter.
Reports changes in patient’s status promptly to RN.
Performs as a patient care companion when needed.
Assists in the admission, transfer and discharge process.
Performs unit housekeeping needs.
Acts as a runner/transporter.
Checks and documents refrigerator temperatures as delegated, reporting variances to appropriate personnel.
Updates assigned bed status.
Maintains a safe environment by responding to all bed alarms, call lights, telephones and alerting the correct person.
Keeps the patient environment clean, performs comfort rounds, keeps hallways clear of obstruction, no food or drink at the workstation, reports safety issues and broken equipment appropriately, and adheres to patient safety precautions.
Communicates with the patient's family, physicians, and unit personnel and peers in an accurate, courteous, and professional manner.

Qualifications
HS Diploma/GED Required
BLS Required
Good written/oral communication skills Required.
Pay Range
$15.92 - $22.79 /hour
