Job Description:
Unit Summary:
The Baptist Health Louisville Labor andDeliveryUnit has 14 number of beds, 3 ORs, and an OB-ED, delivering over 3,000 babies each year. We work with four different private practice obstetric physician groups as well as the OB Hospitalist Group who runs the OBED and is in-house 24/7.
We have an active Maternal Fetal Medicine department collaborating in care of our high-risk maternal patients. Baptist Health Louisville has a level III NICU that takes babies down to 26 weeks gestation. Anesthesia in-house 24/7 as well. About the Position:
The NewbornDeliveryTeamis ateamof Registered Nurses who attend eachdeliveryin L&D to provide resuscitation support and primary newborn care during the time ofdeliverythrough the first two hours of life. When necessary, thisteamis supported by in-house neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, and partners with the NICU nursing staff.
Minimum Requirements
- Active RN License
- NRP
- BLS
- 2 years NICU, Newborn Nursery, or applicable neonatal experience preferred
