Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Louisville, Kentucky
Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing the accounts payable process, ensuring vendor payments are accurate and timely, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities:
• Process and verify invoices with accuracy while ensuring proper authorization and coding.
• Reconcile vendor statements to address and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain the accounts payable ledger by recording all transactions accurately and systematically.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to manage inquiries and build effective relationships.
• Support month-end closing procedures, including generating reports and reconciling accounts.
• Assist in auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and insights.
• Monitor and enforce financial compliance related to reporting and standards.
• Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools to streamline accounts payable operations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
• Proficiency in financial systems such as ADP and Concur, as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with compliance reporting and financial standards.
• Demonstrated experience in account coding and auditing processes.
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Prior experience with ERP systems to manage financial operations efficiently.
