Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in invoice processing, and maintaining compliance with company standards. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining high levels of efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
• Manage account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies and maintain balanced records.
• Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors.
• Enter financial data accurately into accounting systems, maintaining thorough records.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address payment inquiries and issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during invoice processing.
• Monitor and update accounts payable ledgers to reflect current financial activity.
• Generate reports and provide insights on accounts payable performance metrics.
Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in accounting software including Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
• Knowledge of invoice coding, account reconciliation, and payment processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and company policies.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
