Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance for all machinery in the plant. Machinery and equipment will include rollers, conveyors, corrugators, slicers, benders, gear boxes, motors, panels, and more. Work will include a mix of responding to repair calls to troubleshoot breakdowns as well as following a preventative maintenance schedule. Electrical work will consist of motor swaps, AC, DC, sensors, contactors, relays, and wiring.
Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair breakdowns in machinery, including rollers, conveyors, corrugators, slicers, benders, gear boxes, motors, and panels.
Follow a preventative maintenance schedule to ensure machinery runs smoothly.
Conduct motor swaps and perform electrical work involving AC, DC, sensors, contactors, relays, and wiring.
Essential Skills
Troubleshooting in an industrial maintenance setting with at least 2 years of experience.
Experience with preventative maintenance in an industrial environment.
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
Experience with industrial maintenance tasks such as gear box repair, sensor and contactor maintenance, relay wiring, and motor control.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Electrical experience preferred but not required.
Strong industrial mechanic experience is considered.
Ability to pass mechanical and electrical tests for higher pay rates.

Work Environment
The position involves working union shifts, most likely 2nd or 3rd shift (3-11 PM or 11-7 AM). The work environment is a standard production setting with no air conditioning, making it hot in the summer, but there is heating for the winter. The facility has a large open floor plan with large corrugating machines, and workers should be comfortable walking around as part of their daily duties. The environment is well-lit and machines are kept clean compared to many other facilities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.78 - $34.30/hr.
