Robert Half Medical Office Manager in Louisville, Kentucky
Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Medical Office Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our busy medical practice. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day administrative operations, lead the front office team, and ensure the delivery of efficient, compliant, and high-quality patient services. This position has the potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily administrative operations, including patient scheduling, check-in/out, insurance verification, and billing
Supervise, train, and evaluate front desk and administrative staff
Oversee office workflows to ensure a smooth patient experience and support clinical staff
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.)
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation practices
Manage vendor relationships and supply ordering
Assist with claims submission and follow-up with payers as needed
Support reporting needs for leadership and track office KPIs
Handle escalated patient service issues and inquiries professionally
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare administrative role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management capacity- Preferred but not required
Familiarity with EHR systems and medical billing practices (ICD-10, CPT)
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
High school diploma required, associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
Certification such as CMOM (Certified Medical Office Manager) is a plus
