Core Responsibility:
Responsible for performing various molecular biology protocols associated with the company’s high-throughput gene synthesis process
Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
PCR set-up
Gel purification
Restriction digest
Transformation
Analyzing gel data
Work within a multi-disciplinary team, meet goals for accuracy, production deadlines and throughput utilizing the company’s proprietary gene-synthesis platform and related tools.
Perform production protocols according to established company operating procedures and assist with general production support as needed.
Associate or Bachelor Degree in Life Science.
1+ years preferred lab experience related to biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or chemistry.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses outstanding organizational skills, and the demonstrated ability to perform as an effective team member.
Familiarity with PCR, and the operation of complex laboratory equipment are highly desirable.
Experience utilizing and organizing data via spreadsheets and databases is preferred. Good computer skills, precise attention to detail, record keeping, and adherence to protocols is required.
The position will require weekend work (Thursday to Monday 8:00am to 4:30pm).
