The GE Appliances SmartHQ Pro team aims to connect homes and the business professionals that support those homes to help drive operational efficiency and positively impact the consumer experience. This intern position will be an integral part of the SmartHQ Pro team by supporting the Director of Product Management in various tasks including analytics, documentation and standard operating procedures, and competitive research, process mapping and design activities.

How You'll Create Possibilities
This position is located in Louisville, KY. Housing and relocation assistance is not available. This is a year-long position and should be able to be on-site. Assignments may include:
Assist in evaluating, analyzing, and understanding the voice of the customer through various data sources, translating insights into actionable user experiences.
Support the creation of documentation and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and clarity in product and operations management processes.
Perform competitive research to identify industry trends, best practices, and opportunities for innovation.
Assist in process mapping and design activities to improve workflow efficiency and effectiveness.
Perform various website testing activities for SaaS SmartHQ Platforms and log issue tickets for discrepancies and deviations from expected behaviors.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Required Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or better in engineering, industrial design, software design, data visualization or similar degree program.
Candidate must be actively enrolled and be in good academic standing in an accredited school or university pursuing a degree in one of the above majors.
Cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0
Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week throughout the school year and 40 hours per week over summer during normal business hours (Mon. - Fri. 8:00am – 5:00pm).
Due to the nature of this position, the candidate must be local to Louisville, KY or surrounding area. This position is ineligible for housing & relocation benefits.
Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required
Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; GE Appliances will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
Strong organizational skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
