Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves managing the financial aspects of numerous contracting projects and ensuring accurate project accounting. You will also engage in activities such as reviewing job cost activity, preparing forecasts, and managing billing coordinators.

Responsibilities:

• Manage financial elements of various contracting projects including lump sum, Time & Material, and Cost-Plus contracts.

• Conduct regular meetings with project managers to review issues and cost to complete.

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.

• Maintain precise customer credit records and manage customer inquiries.

• Handle job cost adjustments and project closure procedures efficiently.

• Review Work in Process and investigate discrepancies.

• Prepare and review monthly billing invoices and AIA billings.

• Undertake reconciliations of job costs and GL accounts.

• Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Assist with external audits whenever required.

• Use your skills in Project Accounting, Job Cost, AIA Billing, Month End Close, and ComputerEase to perform tasks effectively. Requirements • Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant for a minimum of 5 years

• Proficiency in Project Accounting is essential

• Demonstrated knowledge and application of Job Cost principles

• Experience in AIA Billing is required

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures is mandatory

• Proficiency in using ComputerEase software is imperative
