Job Summary
The Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Air Region Project Engineering intern position collaborates with a variety of management levels on projects that contribute to the growth and success of UPS. This position uses discipline specific knowledge, skills and abilities to assist with various projects, presentations and business improvement opportunities. This position performs other career related responsibilities as assigned.
Responsibilities
Drives assigned project(s) to completion, tracking results to exceed expectations
Executes assigned project from developing project plans, ensuring tasks are completed, and hitting milestones
Develop, maintain and edit drawings using 2D software
Maintain and meet project schedules
Provides fresh insights to project team by participating in the team's ongoing processes and activities
Prepares and delivers capstone presentations to leadership
Preferences
STEM background in IT, civil, electrical, mechanical, automation engineering or other related fields of study
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Demonstrates an ability to multi-task and be highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to distinguish between “big picture” concepts and detailed components, while ensuring tasks are completed accurately and with appropriate level of detail to impact end goals
Demonstrates the ability to identify, adapt and apply approaches in problem solving
Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power Bi)
Ability to work cross-functionally and independently
Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
Employer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions
Must be a current student working toward a bachelor’s degree or recent graduate within the last 24 months in engineering or a related field (or internationally comparable degree)
Must be proficient with advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
