POSITION TO START IN MID JUNE 2025
CLASSIFICATION: Operational Support Staff/Bookkeeper
PAY GRADE 13: $19.04 to $20.14hourly(based on education and experience)
LENGTH: 215 days/8 hours per day
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and District Business Office Administrator
Fully benefitted to include: medical, dental, vision, life insurances; sick, personal, and vacation days as well as state retirement (PERF).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma
- Experience of (3) or more years in administrative, accounting/bookkeeping or secretarial position in a similar sized school district or equivalent setting required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains accurate financial records for textbook rental, Title 1 and extra-curricular funds in accordance with State Board of Accounts and district policies and procedures.
- Verifies and provides receipts for all school monies; prepares and makes bank deposits as funds are received.
- Types and processes purchase orders and claims for payment.
- Reconciles bank statements; prepares daily, monthly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepares monthly athletic reports.
- Maintains and orders office and bookstore supplies and equipment.
- Maintains student headcounts and prepares and distributes monthly report.
- Compiles data and information to prepare state reports.
- Performs other related duties as assigned byPrincipal and/or other designee.
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the corporation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation.
