Description We are looking for a skilled Controller to join a dynamic service-oriented organization in New Albany, Indiana. This role is ideal for an experienced individual seeking to oversee key financial and accounting processes while contributing to overall business operations. The position offers an opportunity to manage financial activities, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements and reports in alignment with regulatory standards and organizational goals.
• Conduct financial analysis and develop forecasts to support strategic business decisions.
• Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage and monitor accounting records and financial transactions.
• Collaborate with management to provide insights on financial performance and operational improvements.
• Support light human resources functions, including payroll and employee documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and internal policies.
• Assist in budgeting and planning processes to optimize resource allocation.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement best practices. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online and its functionalities.
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with HR-related tasks, such as payroll processing, is a plus.
